One day, the disciple asked: "What is the origin of all things in the world?" The immortal said: "The beginning of all things comes from one qi. The gathering and dispersing of qi gives birth to the shape of all things." The disciple asked again: "How can qi gather and disperse to give birth to all things?" The immortal replied: "Qi has yin and yang, which sympathize with each other, and the movement and stillness are caused by each other. Yang moves and dissipates, and yin and stillness gathers. Yin and yang are in harmony, and all things are born; when yin and yang are in conflict, all things are in chaos."

The disciple asked again: "When all things are born, The immortal said: "All things follow the laws of nature. Spring produces summer, autumn harvests winter and hides, this is the rule of time. Things will turn against each other, flourish and decline, this is the principle of change." The disciple asked: "In the middle of it, how should people deal with themselves?" The immortal said: "Man is the law of the earth, the earth is the law of the sky, the law of the sky is the law of the Tao, and the law of the Tao is natural. People should conform to nature, not go against the time of the sky, and not go against the nature of things. Harmony is the most precious, and the use of the middle is the use, so that they can coexist in harmony with all things."

The disciple heard this and was suddenly enlightened. Since then, he has devoted himself to cultivation and practice the way of nature.
